This year's clambake (always held the first Saturday in August) was special because Parker was the newest addition to the family. He was only just born in May, so he tagged along in his little infant carrier and charmed all the ladies with his sweetness.
Drew also did much better this year, as a year older and wiser. He was thrilled to run around, and play with his car that he brought. What a relief. Between the newborn, and the barely two-year old, it wasn't much of a relaxing clambake for us, but it was important to us to go and make the best of it.
It's a family tradition that we always look forward to each summer, and we hope to keep going as long as it lasts. Aunt Marilyn and Uncle Herb are always so kind to invite us out to Portsmouth Naval Yard for the MOAA event, and it's a great trip for us. I've been going since 2001, I think, with only a few missed years in between.
