Today we made a 3 hour round trip excursion to partake in what was dubbed Best Lobster Roll in NH for the year 2003--at Kimball Farms in Jaffrey. (The full details are found on the Cravings blog!) My husband loves lobster rolls and as you can see we will go near and far to get a good one (although he says even when they're bad they're still pretty good.) This was something I had never heard of before I moved up here.... lobster rolls, clam rolls, etc etc. I think they'll put anything on a bun here. So we had a good time in Jaffrey, always a pretty drive. I waved at my friend Christina's mailbox as we flew past on Rt 101. On the way home we stopped at Miller State Park and drove to dizzying elevations at the top of the mountain. Later on this summer when we take our little vacation we plan on going to the current titleholder of 2006 Best Lobster Roll in NH, a title currently held by a little place up in Laconia.
Hope everyone had a good weekend! We were hot, hot, hot here but I don't mind. Winter will be here soon enough so I'll enjoy it while we've got it!

Amen to that sister!

I have no idea what "rolls" of anything are, but food, I'm game.
I am on the lookout for some good tomatoes. Not meaning to sound like a snob, I'm trying to find good sources of unpolluted food, local, that is.

Down here in NC, most are ok with everything, but more and more are going for organic, if it's true organic. I, and others, are into organic, no hormones, free range, no antibiotics on our meat and milk. I am on the lookout for some good tomatoes.
