I was so happy to hostess the October crop today at my house.... which means busting out the Halloween decorations and pulling together a weird and wonderful menu for hungry scrapbookers. I don't think I've ever chosen such an involved menu before, but this was SO fun. Wait till you see what I made:
Ladies' Fingers (this was by far my absolute favorite.... I was cackling with glee the whole time)
Petrified Cheese Log. I went overboard with the blue food coloring, and ended up with a smurf log instead of a moldy look.... but you get the idea.
Deviled Eggs. The addition of a single green olive slice gives the impression of an eyeball... and the dusting of paprika kind of gives it a bloodshot look. At least I think so!
Mystery Meatballs in Slime Sauce, Served over Flatworms. So this was just Swedish meatballs, couldn't think of anything except to give it a nasty name.
Party Favors. Cute little metal cans filled with lollipops.
Pumpkin Bread. October's favorite vegetable.
If you like pumpkin bread, you should try pumpkin roll. Chilled w/a delish cream cheese filling...yum :)
