Didn't he do a great job? Sometimes it feels like the weeks are going by so fast, before we can even take the time to document things. I know pretty soon we'll have forgotten how I looked at 19 weeks, so I'm happy that he took these of me today so we can remember it.
We are sooooo excited and happy! It's a boy (see penis picture below) and everything looks so good and normal and happy. The ultrasound was amazing; we could see all the bones in the hands and feet (we counted 5 digits on each!) and we saw the spine, ribs, brain, 4 chambers of the heart, kidneys, bladder, and lots of cute movement. I can't feel anything in my belly, but he is definitely wiggling around in there. What an exciting morning! We were exhausted after coming out of there, so much excitement.
Are you... 1. a cuddler? not normally, but I have my moments 2. a morning person? yes, I love the potential of a full day ahead of me 3. are you a perfectionist? as I'm beginning to find out, not as much as I thought I was 4. talented? I'm beginning to think there is not so much talent as there is determination. Like with gardening.... "grow, dammit!"
5. religious? no. I get a little weepy in the spring when the flowers start coming up, maybe that makes me a pagan? It still seems like a miracle to me. 6. in your pajamas? yes 7. left handed? no
Last: 1. friend you saw: the girls at work 2. phoned: I don't really call people. 3. sent text: I have never texted in my life, have no clue how to do it. I'm lucky I even know how to dial a cell phone. 4. received text: see above 5. message over myspace: never, I don't have a My Space page (updated: finally got one) 6. instant message: I don't use it. I really hate being that easy to get in touch with. Phone and email are just fine for me, thanks. I'm not a doctor and do not need to be constantly "on call"
LAST NIGHT: 1. wore: to bed? pj's 2. last night was: fine. Went to bed a little early because I was tired. 3. got any plans: nope
Favorite: 1. number: I don't know. I'm not superstitious about numbers. 2. color: right now? Pink OR Blue, ha ha! We shall soon find out! 3. season: summer

I'm tagging Laura (even though I haven't done her last tag yet ;), Kristi, and Karen and Christina even though they haven't updated their blogs in almost a year. A-hem!
Rescheduled! Now we're on for Saturday @ 9:30am. Keep your fingers crossed for us!
Unfortunately I can't tell you the sex of the baby. Because we don't know either! My appointment got cancelled this afternoon, hopefully to be rescheduled later this week. We are soooo disappointed, but hopefully we'll know for sure in just a few days more.
I played with my Original Lensbaby today, what fun! It is in a word: tricky. There is a learning curve here that I'm still working on, but it's fun! Not for perfectionists! I can envision a lot of neat flower pictures with this in the spring. More experimentation to come with this later....
Y'all won't believe this, but today was the very first time we have ever had pizza (or anything) delivered to our house before. Because nobody delivers out here!! We are not exactly far from anything, yet we haven't found any place that will deliver. Lo and behold today we got a postcard in the mail from "Pizza Quest" announcing that we are on the "Street of the Week!" Free delivery and $11.99 for the biggest 20" pizza we have ever seen means now we have full bellies and fond memories of what it's like to have pizza delivered to us.
Step right up, folks. Cast your vote on what kind of baby you think we're having! [see poll at left] Polls are open until Monday the 22nd at 5:00 at which time the result should be revealed at my ultrasound. I will then post the answer on my blog ASAP.
Thursday morning update: out of 7 votes, 43% Girl and 57% Boy.
Friday morning update: out of 12 votes, 57% Girl and 43% Boy.
Saturday morning update: out of 17 votes, 59% Girl and 41% Boy.
Monday morning (and final) update: out of 19 votes, 52.6% Girl and 47.4% Boy.
That was the last count before the big reveal this evening! EEEEEE! We are so excited to find out. Who says finding out early isn't a suprise?? We will dang well be surprised, I know this for sure.
For the record, neither Dave nor I have any official preference.... we are not especially hoping for one over the other. Just healthy is all we care about.
We had an ice storm here Sunday night and Monday morning.... oooooh fun. However they did a great job on the roads and the driving wasn't/isn't bad at all. But everything not paved over is in a big cube of ice. The trees are all bent over and power lines are snapping all over the state. The sun came out for a few minutes this afternoon so I crunched through the icy grass to snap some pictures.
I have wanderlust again..... I was able to submerge that feeling for about a whole year now. We didn't go anywhere last year since we got new floors and carpet, but now I have the burning desire to go away. (laugh with me now). Four months pregnant and now I start thinking of places I want to go? Of course I can think this in my head knowing that physically I won't be going anywhere for a good long time. LOL. Mexico is where I want to go. I even picked out the resort I want last night. Fabulous. It's in Cancun so it's not really "real" Mexico whatsoever, but the weather is hot, the beaches are white and the water is turquoise and the drinks are included. :) :) :) I will stay there in my head until I the opportunity arises for Dave and I to scoot out of town for a few days.
