Yesterday we had a great time at Christina's house for the January crop. What a menu!! Christina went all out and served us local favorites from her hometown of Rochester, NY like Zweigle "hots" in red and white, along with Rochester-style burgers (served with a special kind of hot sauce), salt potatoes, baked beans, and Abbott's Chocolate Almond frozen custard and bakery cookies for dessert. What a treat!
We eat really well at these crops.... a couple of years ago we started out just as snack foods, and gradually got more involved with our menus to the point where we look forward to all the home cooking and even specialty imports like this!
yummm, reliving the great food moments! Christina had such a cool idea---I love getting to try regional foods...fun!

A "hot" is a hot dog.
