Did any of you sit in your room on Sunday mornings (before Church, for me) and listen to Casey Casem's Top 40 on the boom box with a blank tape? Waiting for that favorite song (probably something from NKOTB)to play and then hit record... Gosh... those were the days. lol

P.S. Does Ryan do a request and dedication like Casey?

You do know that Rick Dees grew up in the same neighborhood as dad, and dad knew his younger brother?

Karen

I about choked when I read Rick Dees had died. Glad to hear it is not true. But I have to say I heard Rick just a few weeks ago doing the Top 40 on one of the stations so maybe it just depends on the station. I have yet to hear Ryan do it so don't feel bad.

Ha! I did not know all this about Ryan S. I once heard him called "the hardest working man in show business" but did not know what they were talking about. Apparently, he really does a lot!

Kristi

Oh Thank goodness Rick is still alive. Although I would have been more upset if Dave said Casey Casem died. Ryan also has a radio show and hosts E! news. He's everywhere!

i give him credit ... that ryan seacrest is one busy dude! he's got so much stuff going on i don't know how he fits it all in. i actually saw him on a late-night show a few weeks ago. and he had all these "ryan" duplicates come out (guys that resembled him). he was joking about how this is "radio ryan" ... this is "american idol ryan" ... this is "awards show ryan" ... etc. funny guy!

Don't feel bad - I lost a whole decade from 1970 - 1980. I was busy enough I didn't know what went on in the world. When I hear music from that period, I am totally unfamiliar with it.
