The great thing about scrapbooking friends is that you don't even really have to scrapbook to hang out! Which is good for me, or else I'd find myself alone in my house with all this food:
"Teriyaki" Chicken wings: Um, I didn't get a picture for some reason but was just wings and drummies marinated in brown sugar, soy sauce, garlic powder and ginger. A sprinkle of fresh cilantro on top finished it off. Yum!
Goat Cheese Toasts: This was a Giada recipe and was okay except I think I'd lose the lemon zest next time. Weird in this context.
Halloween Munchkins: Special thanks to my MIL for bringing these in!
Pumpkin Bread: can't believe I didn't get a picture....
The menu wasn't really as Halloween-ie as I would have liked..... I'll never top what I did last year, that's for sure (I'll never have that much time or energy again!). But it was more challenging this year with Drew. I had some help getting him off my hands. Dave took him over to his parents' early this morning which gave me time to set up. Then Dave's mom came over during the crop to keep him occupied while I tended to my guests. It was freakin' HOT today, weird for October 6th. Usually we are into the crisp by now! But it's been a long, hot, dry Indian summer even for New Hampshire. Tomorrow the cold front will arrive and things will be back to normal (much to my detriment and I'm sure I'll complain. I have that right!)
But we had a great time and most people were working on pages for our friend Heather's wedding album for the wedding NEXT WEEKEND! We all can't wait to attend.
Thanks for the recipe... Look at how hard we girls worked. I am still amazed that Candy scrapped and did two pages!
