So I didn't really plan on doing much for Black Friday since there wasn't that much we needed......BUT you start reading the flyers and suddenly all those good deals seem too good to pass up. :) So I just did a little bit of shopping.
Starting on Thanksgiving day I went to CVS to collect all those freebies they were giving away. I started out with 10 ECB and at the first store spent those and got back 19 ECB. Then at the 2nd store I spent those 19 and got back 25 ECB. And I stopped there. I still have some items that I didn't max out on but I don't know if I really care that much to go back and get the rest of them, LOL. I ended up with 2 Aussie shampoos, 2 Bic Soliel razors, 2 colgate toothpastes, 1 Loreal lipgloss, 1 Johnson's soft lotion and a couple more things that either I can't remember right now or I can't mention because they are stocking stuffers. :)
Then I did Kohl's this morning. I was not one of those crazy 4am folks but I did get there right at 7:00 and it was PACKED. The parking lot was completely full and the store was packed, there were no carts, and the line to check out was snaking around the back of the store. Yikes!!! But I shopped for about an hour and in that time the line was much more reasonable and I didn't have to wait long at all. I got some great gifts for really great prices, and some shoes that Dave needed, and some little kids' board games for $3.99! Drew is way too young for them, but I thought I would go ahead and get Chutes and Ladders and Hi Ho Cherry-O at that price because they will sure keep until he's ready for them. AND I came away with $20 Kohl's Bucks! Not a bad haul.
